COP26 Debate on Energy Islands and Power-to-X
COP26 in Glasgow: Event on the Future of Offshore Wind: Energy Islands and Power-to-X
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, PFA, and PensionDanmark invites to a debate on ‘The future of offshore wind’ on COP26 in Glasgow
The 8th of Nov at the Denmark Pavilion, Hall 4, UNFCCC Blue Zone Scottish event Campus, from 16.00-17.30
Denmark has set up wind turbines on land since the 1970’s and was the first country in the world to set up an offshore wind farm at Lolland in 1991. Denmark has continuously developed the know-how and technologies of offshore wind and we are ready to take the next big step in the journey for green transition.
With innovative solutions such as offshore wind, turbines installed from floating ports, floating offshore wind turbine foundations, PtX on an industrial scale, or the establishment of energy islands, Denmark is ushering in a new era in offshore wind.
IRENA points out that global investment in offshore wind over the next three decades will require more than USD 2.750 billion until 2050. This means that an international race is underway, and that Denmark can show the way for the future of offshore wind.
COP26 forms the optimal framework for a discussion of solutions and future scenarios for offshore wind and the green transition towards Net Zero in 2050 and we invite you to be part of it.
